A tasty menu to please all!

Posted by brasseriemelb on November 30, 2011

Almost two weeks have passed since we opened our doors in South Melbourne…how time flies when you are having fun!  Many new faces and many (now) familiar faces come through the door each day to enjoy what Brasserie Bread Melbourne has to offer.

Helen, our Barista is pumping out fabulous Allpress coffees to the delight of our regulars…with some locals dropping in several times daily to get their fix.

The Cafe Team are loving getting to know the customers and serving them delicious food from the tempting menu.

There are already some menu favourites that are standing out…like our classic Croque Monsieur OR the toasted Schiacciata with crisp proscuitto, aioli, rocket & tomato relish OR the daily roasted chicken with seeded mustard mayo, tomato & lettuce…the power porridge is a mix of oats, LSA, vanilla, apple & cinnamon and is winning many hearts and the staff choice (as i type this!) is the super salad on 6 seeded sandwich roll w hummus and haloumi!  Delicious.

Mick our beloved head builder (who has been at the South Melbourne site from day one) left last Friday and his last menu sampler was the beef burger on a brioche bun with cheddar, bacon, salad & beetroot chutney…amid bites & licking his fingers…he gave us the double thumbs up!

Lots of snaps for you to drool over.  Next week we will blog all about our ‘Free Kids Baking’ classes!

The Super Salad Sandwich on 6 seeded roll...delicious!

The daily roasted chicken & salad sandwich with seeded mayo...

Delicious greek salad with Yarra Valley Dairy Marinated Fetta

Our very moorish Croque Monsieur! One bite is never enough...

The Power Porridge...sure to keep you going...it works on the staff!

Poached eggs with crispy bacon, roasted tomatoes, spinach & our toasted sourdough

Also interested in the Artisan Baking classes as run by your counterparts in Sydney. Was looking to book into The Convent in Abbottsford but the course is super expensive.
