Time 10.00am to 11.00am and 12.00pm to 1.00pm

The aim of the class is to introduce children to baking in a fun and educational environment. The children spend approximately 45 minutes inside the main Brasserie Bread bakery under the supervision of a member Brasserie Bread staff. During this time parents can watch the class through the large observation windows in the adjoining Café, or relax with the newspaper and enjoy a cup of Allpress coffee.

The class is very much "hands-on" and the children will be instructed in making at least two bakery "goodies" (often one savoury and one sweet) using Brasserie Bread dough and other fresh ingredients. The children escort their handcrafted goodies to one of the main ovens for baking before returning to their parents to eagerly await the fruits of their labour. Fifteen minutes later the children (and parents) are very proud and excited to see their finished "masterpieces" coming out of the oven, and take them home to share with the whole family!

Things you need to know about the Kids Baking Class

• Age range 5 yrs to 11 yrs (please no children under 5).
• Maximum of four children for every two accompanying adults.
• Class is supervised by Brasserie Bread staff and parents are not permitted in the bakery during the class.
• Parents can observe the class through viewing windows in the adjoining Cafe.
• Birthday Parties and other group functions are NOT permitted. The class is conducted in Brasserie Bread's production bakery and large "party" groups are not permitted.
• Timing - please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the class. The class runs for approximately 45 minutes plus 15 minutes of baking time.
• Clothing - please wear old clothing and soft-soled shoes. Hair nets will be provided.
• Allergies - please note Brasserie Bread does use nuts in its bakery during normal daily production. The class is conducted inside the production bakery.
