Fruit Mince Pies, Puddings, Gingerbread Men. The stuff of Christmas dreams. After year-round requests for special Christmas baking classes, we decided the Training School required an injection of merry and introduced the all-new Christmas Pies & Puddings class. We gave a free sneak peek to Fooderati’s readers, who were asked what Christmas Dessert they were most like and why. The winning responses?
Simon from Simon Food Favourites: “i’m definitely a gingerbead man — tasty yet fragile!”
Justine, Fooderati reader: “Most like a puddin’ : squishy and comforting and if i’m lucky, full of booze!”
We also had the Daily Telegraph along to try out the experience, which we think went down well for the lucky journalist and the photographer who got some early presents to take home.

Simon from Simon Food Favourites also published a fantastic piece on his experience of the Christmas workshop. Reader be warned: You may feel a tinge of food envy from his pictures, make sure you’ve had lunch before clicking to read this review!

So, Christmas is all-systems-go here in the bakery. It’s crazy to think how much prep and anticipation goes into one day of feasting and festivity. While most offices are breaking for holidays at the end of this week, we’ll all be right here at Brasserie Bread up till Christmas Eve, taking orders for bread, gifts and last-minute requests for anything that can be baked in an oven. 2 more weeks to go!
