Team Building

The ancient art of hand-made bread making is no easy feat, and Brasserie Bread is pioneering the use of artisan baking as a team building exercise. What does bread have to do with the corporate environment? As David James, CEO of Brasserie Bread puts it: "As a group activity, making bread is a great leveller. It requires thought, skill, creativity and teamwork - all desirable attributes, especially in the workplace."

The class culminates in the entire team crafting a large bread-crocodile, with each team member contributing the dough they make during the class to the final work. The team must work together efficiently and effectively in order to accomplish the task. Communication skills are strengthened and the team gets to bond in a fun, relaxing environment. Petra Buchanan, Vice President, Marketing at Unisys Asia Pacific is just one of our satisfied participants. "Baking bread is a wonderful way to connect with colleagues. The workshop activities included a fun and interesting set of challenges which could only be successfully completed by a team."

Refreshments (and a glass of wine!) are provided through the on-site Café (dependent upon time of the class and number of students).
