French Gourmet Food Safari at Brasserie Bread

Post image for French Gourmet Food Safari at Brasserie Bread

Over the weekend Gourmet Safari dropped in for a visit! As part of their French Gourmet Food Safari, they made a stop at our Banksmeadow bakery for a behind-the-scenes look at artisan bread-making. The safari-goers tasted our baguette a l’ancienne, French Mountain Bread and organic sourdough with beautiful cultured butter from Pepe Saya and flavoursome Alto Olive Oils.

The food safari is a full day activity jam-packed with French specialties, including of course an introduction to our French breads. At our bakery you learn all about the three-day process of baking sourdough bread, and you’ll see the bakers in action at the ovens, slashing the dough and then sliding them into the ovens.

You’ll get to make a quick pit stop at our café to stock up on our breads, pastries and cakes! Or any jams and olive oils that tickle your fancy. Then you’re whisked back up onto the bus to continue onto the next destination as part of the French Food Safari.

Book in here if you’d like to join one of the upcoming French Gourmet Food Safaris.
