Coffee Trails

Earlier this year I made a quick Sunday visit at Coffee Trails. I was already Twitter buddies with Coffee Trails manager Jonno, but we had never met in person. Turns out Jonno doesn’t work on the weekends. So only a few weeks later were we able to put a face to each other’s Twitter handles – when Jonno made an afternoon drop-in at our Sydney Cafe.

Anyway! Let’s backtrack. The sun is shining and the sky is blue when I arrive at Coffee Trails for a quickie Sunday brunch. I order a soy cappuccino, and lordy, it hits the spot! Strong, well-made and with a gorgeous rosetta to boot. At Coffee Trails, they use a custom blend from Single Origin Roasters, mainly Central & South American beans.

After an arduous period of to-ing and fro-ing in my head (I am a very indecisive person), I decide to try to the walnut, brie, cranberry and rocket sandwich on our organic sourdough. I have it toasted (of course), which makes the bread crusty and the cheesy filling all melted and delicious. I’m in heaven.

Their other sandwiches are also served on our organic sourdough. Try Quite possibly the best Ham Cheese Tomato ever: Barossa double smoked leg ham, Le Superbe Swiss Gruyere, marinated semi-dried tomato and Italian white truffle oil. Alternatively there’s the Smoked salmon, dill, aioli, Spanish onion and rocket sandwich – also served on our organic sourdough.

Coffee Trails also retails a selection of our breads. So you can pick up a loaf or two on your way home or to the office. On this particular Sunday all the loaves are already sold out, and it’s not even noon!

Centrally located at Railway Square, it’s the perfect cafe for a quick sandwich or pastry on your lunch break or after work.
